Professional Licensure

The University of West Alabama offers degree programs that may lead to professional licensure, with requirements varying by profession and state. UWA’s nursing and education programs meet Alabama’s licensure requirements; however, those seeking licensure elsewhere should consult the appropriate state licensing authority in the state where they plan to practice for accurate and up-to-date information.

The University of West Alabama attempts to offer precise information; however, it is crucial to recognize that state laws and regulations can undergo modifications at any given moment. Students planning to seek licensure outside of Alabama should consult their respective state’s licensing board to stay informed about any alterations in requirements. Modifications in educational prerequisites could potentially affect the program’s capability to fulfill new educational criteria for licensure in the student’s home state.
