UWA offers a variety of free academic support resources to help students achieve their educational goals.
ADA Accommodations
The Office of Student Advocacy assists students with documented disabilities who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act. Students seeking academic accommodations should contact the ADA Coordinator, complete the request for services and accommodations forms, and provide current documentation of their disability.
Julia Tutwiler Library
The Julia Tutwiler Library is a central academic resource for UWA students, faculty, and staff. It provides access to books, journals, digital resources, and online databases that support research across disciplines. The library also offers research guides, interlibrary loan services, study spaces, technology, and staff support to help you succeed.
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Scholars Program
The TRIO SSS Scholars Program supports eligible UWA students—limited-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities—through personalized services designed to promote persistence and graduation. Scholars receive:
- Financial Information and Resources to assist with FAFSA processes, federal financial aid regulations, scholarship searches, and personal money management
- Academic Guidance and Tutoring to help navigate selecting majors, planning classes, and setting and achieving academic goals
- Career Exploration and Readiness to develop career skills and connect students to opportunities with internships, graduate programs, and job searches
- Community and Support from our peer-mentors, peer-tutors, and staff for ongoing support and resources
